ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Keshore Rambharrack denied assaulting another man with a pool ball when he appeared before the Magistrate’s Court on February 14, 2014.

Rambharrack , who was unrepresented during his arraignment, pleaded not guilty to the charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm for an alleged altercation that took place on June 1, 2013 at Maria’s Bar in Baugher’s Bay.

According to the allegations, on the day in question, the Virtual Complainant (VC) was at the bar with friends and played pool with the defendant’s brother, who lost several rounds. This resulted in an altercation between the defendant’s brother and the VC.

The defendant’s brother tried to hit the VC with a pool stick and the defendant allegedly came from behind and hit the VC to the face with a pool ball. The VC was reportedly hit more than once in the face. A fight ensured and those involved were eventually separated.

The VC was taken to Peebles Hospital where it was determined that he had suffered several lacerations over the left eye and contusions.

The defendant will return to court on April 22, 2014 for another hearing in the matter.

You have a problem with Guyanese drinking rum? Cause the last time I check is not Guyanese alone does drink rum and fight. So I don't see your point.
