HANDSOME BAY, Virgin Gorda, VI – A major wildfire was averted yesterday, Wednesday, April 3, 2019, on Virgin Gorda after volunteers came together to take the situation under control.

The bushfire, which occurred in the heat of the day resulted in an ambulance being summoned to the scene in event of another catastrophe.

According to sources, the fire eventually burnt itself out and no major injuries were reported.
