Long Bush man charged with Unlawful Possession of Cannabis

- Had an additional 5 traffic related charges

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Assault occasioning actual bodily harm, burglary, robbery and unlawful possession of cannabis were just some of the charges served by ranks of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) during the period April 28 to May 11, 2019, in the Virgin Islands (VI).

This is according to the arrest blotter from the Police Force, issued today May 15, 2019.

ASSAULT OCCASIONING ACTUAL BODILY HARM

On May 10, 2019, Police arrested and charged Clement Brown, a 33-year-old native of St Kitts residing at North Sound, Virgin Gorda for Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 with one signed surety to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on June 19, 2019 at 9:00am.

BURGLARY

On April 30, 2019, Police arrested and charged Sheynela Smith, 25, of Long Trench for Burglary. She appeared before the Magistrate’s Court and was granted bail in the sum of $60,000 with one signed surety to reappear before the Magistrate’s Court on June 18, 2019 at 9:00am.

On April 30, 2019, Police arrested and charged Glenroy Fergus, 33, of Parham Town for Burglary. He appeared before the Magistrate’s Court and was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison to reappear before Magistrate’s Court on June 18, 2019 at 9:00am.

On May 1, 2019, Police arrested and charged Justin Wright, a 23-year-old native of St Vincent and the Grenadines. He appeared before the Magistrate’s Court and was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison to reappear before the Magistrate’s Court on June 18, 2019 at 9:00am.

ROBBERY

On May 3, 2019,  Police arrested and charged Arien Fahie, 23, of Belle Vue for Robbery and Possession of a Controlled Drug with Intent to Supply. He appeared before the Magistrate’s Court and was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison to reappear before the Magistrate’s Court on June 4, 2019.

On May 3, 2019, Police arrested and charged Shaquille Benjamin, 23, of Belle Vue for Robbery. He appeared before the Magistrate’s Court and was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison to reappear before the Magistrate’s Court on June 24, 2019. 

On May 6, 2019, Police arrested and charged Demitre Stoutt, 27, of Belle Vue for Robbery. He appeared before the Magistrate’s Court and was granted bail in the sum of $50,000 with $10,000 being cash to reappear before the Magistrate’s Court on June 24, 2019.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF CANNABIS WITH INTENT TO SUPPLY

On May 7, 2019, Police arrested and charged Delani Chapman, 19, of Long Bush for Unlawful Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply, Drive Without Driver’s License, Drive Without Third Party Insurance, Drive Unlicensed Vehicle, Drive Without a Crash Helmet, Drive Without Front and Rear Plates. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 with one signed surety to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on July 5, 2019. 

DRIVE WITHOUT DRIVER’S LICENSE

On May 7, 2019, Police arrested and charged Rakesh Uttamchandani, 35, of Slaney Hill for Drive without Driver’s License, Drive Unlicensed and Uninsured motorcycle, Ride without a helmet and Drive without front and rear Identification Plates. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 with one signed surety to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on June 19, 2019. 

PERVERTING THE COURSE OF JUSTICE

On May 9, 2019, Police arrested and charged Deverell Conner, 57, of North Sound for the offence of Perverting the Course of Justice. He was granted bail in the amount of $30,000 with one signed surety to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on May 13, 2019.

    For those committing these crimes and they are not from here, DEPORT THEM. We have enough of our own people committing crimes and don’t need any extras from outsiders.

    Yes send them home two from outside seven from here send all ah them home here we go again a police report and it’s about sending home and I guess five of those sure born in the Usvi

    They need to check east end for those Jamaicans driving with loud music and no driver license.
