Long Bush colourful parade captivates! [Photoslide Included]

A tasty treat diva performing.
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Vibrant colours dominated the 5th annual Long Bush Christmas parade yesterday afternoon, December 27, 2011 as several troupes wooed a large crowd with well choreographed moves.

Held under the theme “Sweets and Treats”, approximately 150 participants pranced from Long Bush along a designated route to live music.

As promised the costumes lived up to the theme and included gingerbread boys, peppermint kids, jelly bean girls, lollypop marshals, Santa Clause and his helpers, reindeers, candy cane queens, tasty treats divas, little miss cupcakes and lollypop marshals.

Furthermore, Minister for Communications and Works and 4th district representative, Hon. Mark Vanterpool looked at ease as one of the lollipop marshals.

    last year i was somewhat concern about the behavior of some of the adults in this parade...hope they do better this year...

    To me, the parade was not as nice as last year and the years before. They need to start earlier too.
