EAST END, Tortola, VI – On November 27, 2014 when Mr Levor H. A. Lettsome defied the odds in opening a state-of-the-art salon in East End, he did so with a promise to his patrons that he would not open the snackette ‘Leviz’ until everything for the efficient functioning of the entity was fully in place.

Today the doors are opened and his promise has come to pass. According to one patron who was there at the time of this news site’s visit, “As their popularity grows so does the extent of their services.”

That could not have been better said as it was not just winded talks but the evidence was very visible. Speaking with this news site, Mr Lettsome admitted that getting into private entrepreneurship was not as easy as one looking on from the outside would think.

“I have learnt a lot, I knew exactly what I wanted and I have it to a greater extent. There is still more to come but it would be wrong of me to say it was without challenges. What I am confident of though is that as we go along daily things are falling into place and the better is getting to the best, and we all know that’s how the world of business goes,” he said.

The snackette is the newest addition to the consortium. “We do from breakfast to lunch to fast food and the standard I must say is very high. I have a team of workers who are creative, they are innovative, they listen and they deliver and that’s the beauty of what is pushing this section right now,” he said.

“We do a wide variety of chicken and chips and in combo and pieces too, fish fast foods and meal, tasty dishes of all kind of meats including like what we had today- the curry goat. People are just coming and coming and they are pleased especially with the presence of taste and presentation,” said Mr Lettsome.

In addition to the snackette, Mr Lettsome said they have introduced a weekend treat that caters for a family entertainment – live karaoke on the lawns of the business. “As the afternoon sun sets we have people coming out with their children, supporting the snackette, getting their chicken and chips and such like while they entertain or be entertained by the karaoke and as the night gets later the weekend sporters come out and we have a good thing going here. We also have the open grill nights.”

This takes place every Friday and Saturday evenings, he said.

In addition the pace is currently being set for the season of lovers – Valentine’s Day. Mr Lettsome said there is already a raffle where a 42’’ flat screen television is the first prize, a massage at a spa of choice as the 2nd prize and dinner for two at Leviz as the 3rd prize.

There is also a customer service appreciation card that, “When customers spend $25 or more they qualify to enter the raffle and also for the customer service appreciation card.” Mr Lettsome further explained that acquiring ten signatures on the card after having utilised any service at the Salon and Spa or snackette would entitle the cardholder to a free service of their choice.

“There is no limited on the time to acquire the ten signatures but the raffle will be drawn on Valentine ’s Day, February 14, 2015,” Mr Lettsome explained.
