ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The New Life Foundation recently welcomed Dr Heskith Vanterpool of Eureka Medical Clinic at the Energy Centre, Duff’s Bottom.

Dr Vanterpool delivered an informative and well-structured lecture on the decisions we can make to keep our hearts healthy. He explained that everything we eat and do can have an impact on our heart. The main triggers which can cause heart problems are obesity, salt, sugar, processed foods, certain types of cholesterol, smoking, drugs and alcohol.

By living healthily, taking exercise, eating fresh unprocessed produce, limiting salt and sugar intake we will be taking control of our bodies and helping our hearts function without undue stress.

A lively question and answer discussion followed where the audience participated in this valuable learning session. Look out for the next New Life Foundation Learning Lecture which is scheduled for 23 April 2013.

The New Life Foundation is a non-profit organisation promoting and inspiring health and wellness thereby creating a better quality of life for all.
