ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Magistrate Ayana DaBreo-Baptiste has made it very clear that she will not wait any longer for Roland “Dummy” Allen to decide on securing legal representation as she will be moving ahead with his trial the next time the case is called.

Allen is to be tried for aggravated burglary, an offense for which he was charged on May 30, 2016.

The Carrot Bay man had previously appeared before the Magistrate’s Court and was placed on $60,000 bail. He had also on July 2, 2016, when he made another appearance in court, indicated that he was going to seek legal representation.

However, when he faced Magistrate Ayana DaBreo-Baptiste on Friday September 2, 2016 without legal representation he told the court, when asked, “I have one in mind.”

It was at that juncture that the magistrate indicated to Allen that he needs to stop “thinking about it.”

“Stop thinking and go and get one,” the Magistrate said. She made it very clear to the man that come his next appearance date, November 9, 2016, she will be going ahead with the matter even if he has no legal representation.

Allen is accused of forcefully entering the home of two women at Little Dix Hill. It is alleged that an argument had started in his vehicle when he allegedly made unsavory remarks to the women.

After dropping the women off he allegedly pursued them, brandishing a knife but they managed to make good their escape and immediately summoned the police, who subsequently arrested and charged the accused.

In his defense, Allen allegedly accused the women of stealing his cell phone, which police subsequently found in his vehicle.
