Laughs! Did Minister for Communications ‘fly away with BVI Airways?’- Fahie
It was at the time his turn to pose questions to the Minister for Communications and Works Hon Mark H. Vanterpool (R4), who was missing from the Chambers at the time.
The HoA is being held at the Arbitration Center in the Ritter Building on Wickham's Cay II.
The Speaker of Parliament, Hon Ingrid A. Moses, advised the Opposition Leader to move on as, the Minister was not present, to which Hon Fahie, asked: if “he had fly away with BVI Airways?”
Where is the Minister for Communications & Works?
Many persons listening erupted in laughter. The Speaker then cautioned the First District Representative and he responded and further suggested, "maybe he gone to fuel up the plane.”
The Speaker then recessed the HoA, but our roving camera will have to check to see, if indeed Hon Vanperpool is on a BVI Airways flight or is holding the fuel pump, after we determine the flight route. But then again, the Communications and Works Minister was a former Banker so maybe he is assisting in counting the $7.2M doled out by taxpayers.
One thing we do know is that the route is not between Miami International Airport and Terrence B. Lettsome International, Beef Island, even $7.2M later.
Minister Vanterpool has since been sighted in and out the HoA.

Boy we goin get that girl from Anguilla to sing calypso pun you ,cause all a ayaa doin the same
We need to know where the planes are ; who using them ;and who collecting the money ,
Will they incur debts .that will be sent /pass on to BVI as they carry they BVI AIRWAYS name abroard?
Anyways I digress, I want to know if Mark reports to himself because there should be no reason why both the Premier and his deputy shouldn't have enough combined knowledge to answer the opposition leader's questions that are being put to Mark. This is where accountability comes in! When yuh don't show up, your superiors must be obliged to answer for you. The superiors would then place a burden on you to show up in order to save them further (and I stress 'further') public embarrassment.
