K&J 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament tips off April 2, 2016

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The ever popular K&J 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament run by Kennedy H. Bass and Jason A. Edwin will get underway on April 2, 2016 in the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex in Road Town, Tortola.

Edwin and Bass, two of the territory’s most renowned basketballers, wherever it be as player, coach, referee or promoter, are also running an Easter Camp that started on March 29, 2016 and runs until April 8, 2016, also at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex.

The camp, which is punctuated by the 3 on 3 championship, is focusing on improving skill sets such as Ball Handling, Passing, Offense without the ball, Shooting, Rebounding, Teamwork, Listening and Work Ethic.

The camp is open to boys and girls, aged Under 18.

Edwin commented that since he decided to give back to his community after playing collegiate and professional basketball, his hopes are to groom and support the next generation of basketball superstars in the VI.

The 3 on 3 tournament takes place from Saturday April 2, 2016 with an Opening Ceremony at 2pm and will conclude on April 3, 2016.

Bass is one of the founders of the K&J 3 on 3 and he has focused his athletic ability in the sport of basketball, becoming a force to reckon with ever since and he hopes that this league will clear a path to help propel other young talents and propel the territory in the sporting arena.

Again the 3 on 3 will be open to boys and girls with age groups for both covering 9 to 12, 13 to 15, 16 to 18, open and 40 plus.

Great prizes will be on offer, including a play station 4, beats by DJ Dre, lap tops, drones, smart watches and a whole host of other quality prizes.

Kings won first K&J Tournament

Kings managed to stave a spirited comeback attempt by Bayside Blazers 1 to be crowned the Open Men's champions of the inaugural K&J 3 on 3 Basketball Championships at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex on Sunday March 29, 2015.
