PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad – Prime Minister Kamla Persad Bissessar has announced that her Cabinet will be reshuffled within two weeks.

The disclosure was made late Wednesday while speaking with reporters following a function at the United National Congress’s (UNC) party headquarters at Rienzi Complex, Couva.

"Before we go back to the Parliament that will take place. There will be a reshuffle, a realignment of portfolios for better delivery."

The Prime Minister said the Ministry of Local Government and Ministry of Works would be divided into two ministries and the others would also be on the "chessboard" in a bid to better share the work and deliver to the people.

The reshuffle will be the third in three years for the People’s Partnership coalition, which won power in May 2010.
