Jewels of Anegada wins Best Troupe

ROAD TOWN, Tortola,VI- The colourful BVI Ports Authority’s Jewels of Anegada danced its way to Best Troupe at the Emancipation Festival Parade in Road Town on August 3, 2015.

The troupe accumulated 849 points to take the title ahead of Tortola Dance Project which had 786 points.

Showtime presents Camouflage was third with 310 points.

Coming out winners for majorettes was Fete T’niques. Dynamic Twirlers was second.

Althea Scatliffe Twirling Striders won the schools category ahead of Francis Lettsome Primary School Majorettes.

Down Memory Lane - 1990 Til Now was adjudged Best Float while Moviene Fahie took the win for Traditional Individual.

      So you have to be from Anegada to be named for a troupe ??? Anegada is part of the BVI --- They chose to rep that island that no one takes about --- that's how it got your attention..... Did you ever question where Anasazi got their name from --- Because they don't look Indian to me ...

      Too much people was in it last year so they couldn't keep track but this year it had a lil bit of participants so it was easy
