“I was not elected to be anybody’s puppet”-Mitch

-says NDP Gov’t will have to answer his questions in HoA

BREWERS BAY, Tortola, VI – Former Government Member of House of Assembly (HoA), Honourable Melvin M. Turnbull, aka ‘Mitch’, is adamant he was elected as the Second District Representative not to be anybody’s puppet.

‘Mitch’ gave the declaration in his State of the District Address, hosted at the Brewers Bay Park on Sunday, January 13, 2019, where he disclosed that since he was not getting the answers to questions posed while a government member, he has now tabled even more questions now as an opposition member, where answers will have to be provided.

Incomplete Roads

He cited as example the fact that money had been budgeted for the roads network in the community but these have since been stalled.

According to Hon Turnbull, “somebody needs to tell the people… Somebody needs to tell the people why the work wasn’t done.”  

He pointed too to the water supply network and noted that despite the fact that the system had been upgraded, the residents of District Two continue to receive an inconsistent supply of water.

‘Mitch” as such, is adamant that somebody in the HoA will have to account for the shortcomings which have afflicted the District.

Hard Time

The elected member told members of the Second District gathered for the public meeting, “when I not getting the information then we gonna have a hard time.”

He told members of the community, “you did not put me in the HoA to be anybody's puppet…you put me there to represent you.”

According to Hon Turnbull, the people of the Second District have demanded he be accountable.

He related to the people too that as it relates to any project to be undertaken in the community, “anything that starts wrong, it can’t end right.”

      What this has to do with humble pie. Most of us want to know and all of us need to know the answers to these questions. I bet it $7.2 million was given away from your business or account and nothing to show for it you would be running up and down going crazy to get answers.

      You people need to set the hate aside and focus on the bigger issues.

      When he was expressing his vconcsrns while he was in the camp y’all bashed him. Now he outside and raising concerns y’all bashing him again. This just shows when some people hate somebody common sense goes out the door.

    All of sudden you and your gang lost the bid to lead the party, you all jump the train and foul nothing it. My question is, why now, those same things you all crying foul about was happening all along, so why didn’t you all jump ship from the on set. Maybe you all were the infestation and stood to benefit for personal reasons. Now you have milked the cow, you want to slaughter it.

    Too Late If you Mitch . Archie and Ronnie had made you all move before U all lose the NDP Internal elections the people would love u all and embrace u all as caring concern courageous men that putting country first . But to do it after losing can only be seen in a negative way and causes the motive and credibility to be a question in peoples mind.

      If they had done that then you would have said they should have tried harder. They did. By trying to lead the way. It wasn't accepted so they could not continue that way. Simple. Nothing difficult there to understand if you really want to.

    I always though this young man was so humble until I saw how "cocky" he is and that disappoints me. He was part of the Government that caused these problems now he is acting so righteous.

    7.2 million from what i understand was a good investment for us that went bad. The government wanted in its best interest for the people to get direct flights to the us starting with miami cut st.thomas out of getting all that income from us. According to school children the individuals that guaranteed us a plane and such service were frauds and now the matter is in the US courts. The individuals that defraud us and other investors could be looking jail time.

    Mitch is fully aware that the persons the government invest in for the plane defrauded us and other investors and such matter is in the a district in court in the US and the AG office is currently working alongside the US district court to assist in such matter. The Government did their Due diligence however the guys are attorneys who falsified documents to enter into an agreement to provide such service

    Vino on August 1, 2018 last year published embezzlement & the deliberate attempt to crash the airline.

    The articles speak on how these person defraud us and now the matter is in the District Courts of New York

    Then on august 3, 2018 vino publised smith sold BVI Airways for 650,000 & promise of millions more and that said matter is in the Supreme district Court of New York and MITCH know this. HE NEED TO STOP THIS IS A BIG COURT CASE THAT IS GOING ON BECAUSE THEY DEFRAUDED THIS GOVERNMENT IN SELLING A PLANE THAT THEY DID NOT OWN. THE GOVERNMENT IS WAITING FOR THE COURT HEARINGS TO FINISH
