‘I am undisturbed’ - Skelton-Cline on church distancing self from him
During the Tuesday, February 19, 2019, edition of his radio show which was a combination of “Honestly Speaking” and 'VIP Radio' on ZBVI 780am radio, the script was flipped when political aspirant and former Permanent Secretary, Mr Julian Willock grilled Skelton-Cline on the topic, in what was considered a very unorthodox episode of the show.
Distraction & Diversion
“On the matter of the church… I just think that whole thing they instigate comes as a distraction and a diversion from what the people ought to be focused on, we are in an election cycle and this election is about change in the BVI,” Mr Skelton cline said in answer to a question seeking to bring clarity to the issue.
According to Mr Skelton-Cline, “As the son of this soil, part of my anointing within the four walls of the church and outside the four walls of the church… is to speak truth to power wherever it is and so when you have that kind of a flow and anointing, you become a target from family, from friends, from church and from the outside.”
Mr Skelton-Cline futher says he plans to address the issue internally with the church, however, he notes that the perceived 'distance' does not prevent him from preaching.
I wish I was single – Skelton-Cline
“Sometimes I wish only that I was single, and that way I won’t have a family I would worry about because you don’t want your family to be going through some of the stuff that they have to go through because of the calling on your own life,” he said.
Responding to Mr Willock he said, “So the church distanced themselves from my political modus operandi and the truth of the matter is… there are some things I will have to address internally in the life of our church, so that portion I will not [say] in the public because I don’t think it advances the local church,” he uttered.
“I am undisturbed by it, and I have a single focus and vision… in this season is to ensure that the people of this territory receive the truth as it comes to me… we want persons to make informed decisions in this upcoming General Elections,” Mr Skelton-Cline implored as he plans to continue his work as a political and social commentator.

That’s why I say that pastors should not get involved in politics in my previous blog because the worst of their behavior will be seen. What an insult to the churches, family and friends expecially us. Just look at how the devil is using you, big time. I call on all the pastors, leaders and pray warriers to get on your knees for his deliverance because satan is about to sift him as wheat. Let us watch and pray for this country. This guy should have taken from the political podium long time. God has spared our lives and we were coming together in love and harmony and soon as we get a little comfortable, this guy come with all his hatred and malice and deposit it on us so we are becoming like him. Birds of a the same feather flock together.
Pastor, please for God sake , repent and forgive and look to God for mercy.
People of the BVI choose wisely.
