Hurricanes secure spot in Basketball League’s semi-finals

BAUGHER’S BAY, Tortola, VI- The ‘Hurricanes’ continue with their unbeaten streak in the 2018 Elite Summer Basketball League—organised by Steve E. Parillon—booking a place against ‘Right Mix’ in the semi-finals, set for Friday, June 22, 2018. ‘Hurricanes’ on Friday, June 15, 2018, blew out ‘Jam Session, 56-48.

Hurricanes’ Tavon J. Phillips, led the way with 15 points, while Phillip E. Glasgow also ended the game with double digit scores—11 points.

Meanwhile, ‘Right Mix’ defeated ‘Guns’ at the June 15, 2018, games 77-74. Right Mix’s top scorer was Romain D. Minott-Neufville Jr, with 15 points, while Nicols C. Charles, netted 13 points.

‘Guns’ were led in their bid by Bjorn J. Caleb, with a whopping 26 points and Tiquan Stoutt scored 15 points to secure the victory.

Games continued over the weekend on Sunday, June 17, 2018, when ‘Rebels’ defeated Right Mix 64-56. Rebels’ scoreboard was led by Deangelo K. Sampson aka 'DK,' with 16 points. Shakeem Blackmoore and Dione M. Blyden scored 10 points each. Right Mix’s Minott-Neufville Jr scored 19 points.

The 2018 Elite Summer Basketball League continues on Friday, June 22, 2018, with the Rebels taking on Jam Session.

Semi-final action continues the following day June 23, 2018, with Rebels vs Jam Session, and Right Mix vs Hurricanes.

The action will continue on Sunday, June 24, 2018—if necessary—with Hurricanes taking on Right Mix, and Rebels vs Jam Session.
