Hope Hill woman charged for Cruelty to Child

ROAD TOWN, TORTOLA, VI - Police in the Virgin Islands (VI) have arrested a Shanti Byran, 47, of Hope Hill for Cruelty to Child before placing her on bail in the amount of $5,000.

Further, she will require one signed surety to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on November 26, 2019 at 09:00hrs and this is according to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) in its Arrest Blotter for the period October 13 - 19, 2019.

BURGLARY
On 15-10-19 at 06:35hrs, Police arrested and charged Brian Henley Jr., 20 of Cane Garden Bay for Burglary. He was granted bail in the amount of $5,000 with one signed surety to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on 27-11-19 at 09:00hrs.

ASSAULT OCCASSIONNG ACTUAL BODILY HARM
On 20-10-19 at 00:33hrs, Police arrested and charged, Kajero Romney, 21 of Horse Path for Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm. He was granted bail in the amount of $5,000 with one signed surety to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on 20-10-19 at 09:00hrs.

UNTRUE DECLARATION
On 19-10-19 at 21:45hrs, Police arrested and charged Anthony Angol, 23 of St. Thomas, USVI for Untrue Declaration, Failing to Declare Monies to Customs, Engagement in Smuggling and Possession of Proceeds of Criminal Conduct. He appeared before the Magistrate’s Court and was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison.

On 19-10-19 at 21:45hrs, Police arrested and charged Kalik Aaron, 22 of St. Thomas, USVI for Untrue Declaration, Failing to Declare Monies to Customs, Engagement in Smuggling and Possession of Proceeds of Criminal Conduct. He appeared before the Magistrate’s Court and was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison.

    So how come the police that rape the lil girl aint make the news? Laws need to be amended. register them and put them on blast from having them walking among us like nothing happened. Keep them 100 years from schools. Register them as sex offenders. Please do not wait until someone takes the law into their own hands.

    But for real though, the jamaican man killed his baby in the hot car last year and was never even charged. Some children don't matter it seems. One rule for some and another for others.
