ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Representative for the First District Honourable Andrew A. Fahie will on Saturday January 23, 2016 present his First District Annual Report at the Capoon’s Bay Recreational Grounds and this year the expectations are high following last year’s bombshell disclosures of the National Democratic Party (NDP) Government allegedly being the most corrupt in the modern history of the Virgin Islands.

At the event, Honourable Fahie is expected to present the state of affairs in the district with regards to public infrastructure, youth, health, transportation, education and a range of other issues affecting the people of the First District.

“Make sure you are at Capoon's Bay from 7:00 pm on January 23, 2016 for the First District New Year's Party and Annual First District Report,” said Honourable Fahie.

He said that there will be entertainment from VIBE which will start performing from 7pm.

At 8:00 pm he will deliver his First District Annual Report under the theme ‘The Future Belongs to the Prepared’.

“Shortly afterwards VIBE takes over again until midnight! See you there!” he said.

NDP most corrupt

During his Annual Report presentation on January 24, 2015, Honourable Fahie labelled the National Democratic Party (NDP) Government the most corrupt in the modern history of the Virgin Islands and called them morally and politically bankrupt.

“This government has been the most corrupt government in the modern history of this Territory,” Hon Fahie had said. “They have repeatedly used this Territory as their personal piggy banks; and they have refused to adhere to the principles of good governance,” he said. “Project NDP has proven to be morally and politically bankrupt and corrupt."

He went on to give examples of the alleged corruption of the NDP Government.

“They only adhere to the rules when it benefits them and theirs. After all, Crafts Alive was well over a million dollars and no tendering was done for that project; Spooner Estate roads and walls was well over a million dollars and no tendering was done for that project; Georgie Hill road project was well over a million dollars and no tendering was done for that project. The list can go on and on,” he said.

“They have ensured jobs for their boys; projects for their friends; and have left you to fend through getting the crumbs from their corrupted tables. But we are a people of dignity and we are saying enough,” he declared.

Although Hon Fahie comfortably won his District at the June 8, 2015 elections the Virgin Islands Party, of which he is a member, failed to be elected to power.

I am taking bet as of now; Hon Fahie's presentation on the state of affairs in the territory will NOT be given the same level of media coverage that was granted to Hugh Darley(place your bets)...

Failure to look into the NDP on going corruption conduct especially with the Port project means that you can do wrong in the BVI depending on who you are and get away with it. Are we sure that this is what we want to teach our children?
