ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- A series of appearances and speeches by Tree Alexander, an HIV-Positive advocate will be the centerpiece of the BVI HIV/AIDS Foundation’ 2016 World AIDS Day awareness programme.

World AIDS Day is celebrated annually around the world on December 1, and here in the VI the foundation plans to bring realism to its 2016 observance by putting a face to the message.

Tree was diagnosed with HIV in 2006, and has made a complete change in the way he lives his life.

He was scheduled to speak at the Rotary Club of Road Town meeting on Wednesday Night, at the HLSCC Auditorium on Thursday December 1 at 10:00 A.M. followed by a presentation at the Tortola Rotary Club Luncheon meeting at the Moorings Marina Inn.

Later in the evening Tree will join the BVI HIV/AIDS Foundation for the annual World AIDS Day programme that will be held at the Noel Lloyd Positive Action Movement Park at 5:00 P.M.

After learning of his HIV status one month after he turned 20, Tree dedicated his life to telling his story, and sharing the word of prevention by people all around the world. In fact, he now lives by the motto: "I am the change I wish to see."

As a motivational speaker and youth advocate he works hard to reduce stigma, and bring awareness to youth.
