Hidar returned as Vikings CC President

SEA COWS BAY, Tortola, VI- Bishar Hidar was returned as President of Vikings Cricket Club when it’s Annual General Meeting and Elections were held at the Valerie O. Thomas Community Centre in Sea Cows Bay on Saturday January 9, 2016.

Hidar will to be assisted by Vice-President Ramkisson Mangal, Treasurer Kevin Walker, Secretary Ken Alphonso and Committee Members Cyrel Walker and Johnny Bailey.

The Captain is Vishal Munessar, Vice-captain Kevin Walker, Coaches Ken Alphonso and Vaden Walker and Manager Steven Baird.

The Annual General Meeting of the Vikings Cricket Club was hosted by President of the BVI Cricket Association, Charlie E. Jackson.

Re-elected President Hidar told Virgin Islands News Online that the club is looking forward to a victorious 2016 as it has a couple of new faces in the team, including the talented and experienced Ken Alphonso.

“We are also looking to adopt Sea Cows Bay and the Third District to encourage youngsters to be more involved in cricket and sports generally,” said Hidar who also noted that the club plans to be more active in volunteer work in the VI.

Vikings failed to win a championship in 2015 as they were out performed by Cavaliers CC and Grenada CC but are upbeat about their chances this year.

      Yes they have. They were the 2014 Champions. Why are people such haters? OMG! If you are not doing something to keep fit or make the world a better place- Please be quiet or better yet go do something good and stop whining over nonsense- you just shortening your miserable life.
