Gunfire in Long Bush: no injuries

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The Police Information Office reports that the RVIPF were last night (September 16, 2012) investigating reports of gunfire sometime around 22:30 (ten-thirty p.m.) in the Long Bush area. No persons are reported injured.

On searching the scene, Officers recovered a number of spent shells and three live rounds. These will be sent for forensic analysis.

Although no persons were reported injured, two nearby cars were found to have been damaged – a Dodge Dakota and a Mitsubishi. Police are seeking to establish a motive, but no witnesses have yet come forward. Investigations continue.

All calls will be treated in the strictest confidence.
