ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - It was welcome news for many residents, family and well wishers when businessman, Earl Hodge aka ‘Bob’ and former Customs Officer Roberto Harrigan aka ‘Tico,’ where released from Her Majesty’s Prison (HMP) on Tortola, and will not be extradited to the United States of America (USA).

It was yesterday Friday, June 29, 2018, that High Court Judge Godfrey P. Smith, gave that ruling in favour of the two men wanted by the USA

In November 2017, Magistrate Shawn Innocent, had ruled in favour of the US Justice Department to extradite Hodge and Harrigan from the Territory however, they appealed that decision and heard the result on June 29, 2018.

Our news room will bring full details as all the information breaks.

    Thank God they are freed.
I hope they keep their head on.
I hope the will just have to pay a fine since they spend so much time in jail.

Somethings seems fishy. That is how crocked Tortola has become. Know this, anyone from the BVI better not get caught in US running drugs. Know this, you all are being closely monitored.

Some people have 9 lives on earth, but just remember God controls all things. Earthy justice may be off-balanced but God balances eternity with just alittle time.

What a brilliant strategy! The a-b-c soup agencies on both sides of the Atlantic pond have taken the wind out of the sails of locals hhhhmmmm... as the street has said repeatedly that these men will never be extradited. The street has used its third eye to discern how the powers that be (TPTB) think and execute...What a web of deceit and destruction is woven and putting wool over our eyes until we discover it years later in a well written book that becomes the New York Best Sellers list or filibuster movie that make record sales. May Jehovah Almighty protect us from all evil, for thine is the kingdom, all power, and all glory, forever and ever.

The USA should cut off all ties to the BVI. The BVI is of no use to the USA. You can continue to uphold wrong for a fist full of money but, one day that money is going to run out or turn against you.

As much as I disagree with the court’s decision, I must comment on your statement...If you find that the USA need to cut off the BVI, then please ask your former president to vacate the premises, thank you!

Yes dude, those two better not get to comfortable. When they least bit expect it, they are going to get snatched up. One way or another, they are going to serve some US time. The FEDS is not going to go after anyone unless they have something on that person.

It would not be a surprise if the administration of the USA were
to suspend shipping from all US ports, with the exception of food and medical supplies,
because of one greedy judge and or political figure...
Extremely poor timing and decision making ....

I agree, a very poor decision. Currently the US has trade embargoes against 7 countries - Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, Syria, North Korea, Eritrea & Belarus.

It appears the BVI is heading to be the 8th!

@Don Q, Let's go party BVI? I hope when the US Military come in to snatch up who they are comming for, and they will, you are willing to leave with your local boys to serve their time in the US. Say all you want and continue to mock and laugh at the US Justice system. Everything in due time. That system in Tortola is  soon comming to an end.
