'Fraser for Premier? Oh what a nightmare!'- Eileene L. Parsons
Speaking at the meeting which was focused on the party's choice for the First District Shaina M. Smith, Parsons heavily criticised incumbent representative in the district, senior VIP member Hon Andrew A. Fahie, and said that he led her to sin her soul, referring to the incident between herself and Hon Fahie when she allegedly used indecent language when he tried to greet her back in January this year.
Parsons was peeved that Hon Fahie had labelled the NDP as the most corrupt Government in the history of the Virgin Islands after its members in the House of Assembly refused to provide information on expenditures on certain major projects, namely the controversial Cruise Pier Development Project.
The former legislator had subsequently said she was not going to apologise for her words to Hon Fahie and had declared war on the incumbent representative.
Fahie good at making promises he can't fulfil
In speaking in support of Smith, Parsons said Smith will not go around saying how corrupt members of the other side are. “This was said of her chosen team by her opponent whose actions caused Virginia’s first child to sin meh soul but we have been told that forgiveness flows like a river that is full and free,” said Parsons.
She said the current representative of the district, Hon Fahie, is very good at making promises but which he cannot or will not fulfil. “This young lady with the help of her NDP colleagues will try to take some action that not only speak louder than words but actions that are doable,” said Parsons.
Vote for Fahie a vote for Fraser
The tune that was started by the controversial Minister for Education Myron V. Walwyn that persons in the territory don't want Chairman of the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) Hon Julian Fraser RA (R3) as Premier has been picked up by Parsons who said a vote for Hon Fahie in the First District is a vote to help the Chairman of the VIP Hon Julian Fraser become the territory’s first "unwanted" Premier.
“Friends, that is a four year nightmare you do not want to sleep through. If you think it is bad now, leave Shaina out and you will scream in your sleep for four years,” she said.
Parsons said that anyone who is fair and just cannot compare the last three and a half years with the previous administration’s four in terms of what has been achieved. She urged the persons there to vote NDP, stating in a rhyme that “anything else is a four year nightmare with the Representative for the Third as your Premier.”
Hon O'Neal warns of NDP 'badtalking' Hon Fraser
It was only on May 11, 2015 at the campaign launch of Ninth District electoral candidate Mr Elton L. Sprauve aka "All Out" on Virgin Gorda that the outgoing stalwart legislator and incumbent, Hon Ralph T. O'Neal OBE warned that the NDP was going to attack Hon Fraser and make it sound as though people don't want him as premier.
The regional political icon stood strong in representing the integrity and good will of Hon Fraser as he told the gathering last night, "I want to let you know, this gentleman here, Fraser, he is now Chairman of the Party and they are telling all sorts of rumours on him too... I have worked with the man and he is a good thinker, he's a very good thinker."
Hon O'Neal said the NDP and their cronies would have persons believe that their side has the best and brightest set of Counsel members.
"Well you mean we had Lawyer QC, we had an architect, we had Fahie who went to college, he's a teacher, you mean they ain't got no brains, don't tell me that."
He said the NDP is trying to fool the people in order to have them not work with Hon Fraser. "But remember Fraser is a man who looked after the small man, he looked for the small man."
According to Hon O'Neal, there is a culture developing in the VI which is that the 'small man' is not considered but with the VIP, even now under the chairmanship of Honourable Julian Fraser, RA, he said much focus is on the ‘small man’ and will continue to be of paramount importance.

What did the NDP do for the 1st district over the past three + years, aside from pretending we don't exist? If we are all Virgin Islanders, ALL districts should be treated equally. We in the 1st district were BY NO MEANS treated equally by the NDP. We will not be held hostage based on political affiliations. I for one will back the candidate who is more likely to DO for my district with the best interest of the ENTIRE territory at heart.
"Parsons said that anyone who is fair and just cannot compare the last three and a half years with the previous administration’s four in terms of what has been achieved". I must agree entirely with this statement. In just three years we have been thrust into the deepest debt this territory has ever seen and the NDP is insistent upon making that figure grow exponentially over the next four years. MY great grandchildren (should I be so blessed) will STILL be paying for what the NDP has done so far. Never before have I seen such reckless overspending! With the airport expansion and other projects looming over our heads, I don't think the average taxpayer can possibly understand just how much further in debt we will be and how it will affect their personal bank accounts in the long run.
Ms. Parsons, I respectfully say to you, I am not buying what you, Shaina and the NDP are selling. Despite the fact that I still have not decided whom I will vote for, I will most certainly be voting AGAINST your party all the way.
Now if all the other candidates would be kind enough to address the real issues of the territory, perhaps then I could make an INFORMED decision!
Sweetheart is one word by the way. I do wish people would learn to spell. It's important that Virgin Islanders aren't considered to be largely uneducated.
I am not certain I know to which "sour grapes" you might be referring. The saying "sour grapes" refers to something someone else has but another can't have. So I suppose you are referring to the FACT that the 1st district has been largely ignored for the entire time the NDP has been in power. So yes, I suppose you could call it sour grapes.
I do love the BVI; though that was not my motivation for the statements made above. I made the above statement because I love my children very dearly and pray they will have a chance for a bright future. Being lumbered with an insurmountable debt thrust upon them by an arrogant and self-serving government who, to date, have not demonstrated how the debt will be paid back, weighs very heavily on my mind.
Thanks for asking.
You say that yet you'll go and vote the likes of Rajah, Zoe, Irene, Fraser, Fahie??? Please do explain Sweetheart.
You is a nightmare!!

The belief that Mr Vanterpool cares only for people in Road Town is incorrect. What has Mr Vanterpool done for the people in Road Town in the last 3 and 1/2 years? Nothing, absolutely nothing. There is nothing to recommend him. Mr Vanterpool, if he cares about anything it seems only to be about being Minister of Communications and Works.
If anything, the situation in Road Town might be worse now than before. Mr Vanterpool likes to brag about the pier and tourism but he has not done anything to try to clean up the town. In fact, the only member of the NDP making an effort to clean the town is Christian, and this was at the beginning of the NDP's rule.
Ms Parsons is not a candidate for elections so she can speak her mind freely. Let's talk about the bulls$%^ All Out and Bunbury was over in VG saying a few days ago. Two Moo MOo LMAO!
