Ford Explorer catches afire on JVD

GREAT HARBOUR, Jost Van Dyke, VI- A female driver escaped injuries when the vehicle she was in caught afire at White Bay, Jost Van Dyke just after 9am today, February 15, 2016.

According to reports from our correspondents on the sister island of Jost Van Dyke, the driver who was the lone occupant of the vehicle was on her way to White Bay Hill when she observed smoke coming from her engine.

Reports further state that the woman turned off the engine and exited her vehicle, however, the vehicle had already started to burn.

The vehicle, a 2000 Ford Explorer bearing license plate PP 259, was completely destroyed.

The driver was uninjured.
