ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- On Friday, November 18, 2016 with much fanfare, Flow launched their new 4G LTE mobile network. Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS) drum corps and the Rams Cheerleading squad paraded through Road Town and ‘Flow Lights up Road Town’ T-shirts were worn by many in the streets.

Customers, excited by the fast speeds and Christmas promotional offers, filled the store and were able to enjoy speeds that have previously been unobtainable.

Sarah Graham, Marketing Launch Manager said, “As I was waiting to launch the procession, a gentlemen approached me.  We did a speed test on my phone then and there and it showed 43Mbps download.  Obviously he shared the news because after that I had a stream of people wanting to see it with their own eyes.”

Tim R. Ringsdore, Flow Managing Director, commented, “This has been a very proud day for the company and staff, launching the most advanced LTE network in the BVI with the fastest speeds and best coverage.”

“The multi-million dollar upgrades of both the mobile network that has allowed both the launch of the 4G LTE network as well as the upgrades and improvement of the Broadband Network that are taking place are providing a combination of high speed solutions to the internet, which will position the BVI with some of the most advanced technology in the Caribbean. “

“We will be contacting Broadband customers directly as the super-fast broadband network is further rolled out across the islands this and next year and I would ask customers to be patient with us as we implement it; it is coming to your neighbourhood.”

To mark the LTE launch celebration, Flow are running their “Grand in the Hand” promotion where customers are in for a chance to win $1,000 cash every week for 6 weeks, if they top up $15 or more. The first winner was announced at the Flow store and called live on air with DJ Dre on Zrod and Neil Blyden on ZVCR.

Veron Blough from St Vincent was the first winner, screaming in delight when she learned of her win.  “I have been a customer of Flow for a long time.” She said, “For the 9 years I have lived here and in St Vincent before that. I topped up $20 and got $1,000 back.  I am going to St Vincent next month so this makes me very happy.”

Sarah Graham, Marketing Launch Manager of Flow BVI commented, “This has to be my favourite part of the job. It gives me such a thrill to give something back to our customers. It is even more special that we are able to announce the first winner at the same time as launching our LTE mobile network.”

“There are still 5 more prizes to be won. Prepaid customers simply need to Top up $15 or more to be in with a chance to win.  Of course, the chance of winning increases when they top up more than once in a week at any of the usual top up locations.  We will be announcing winners each Friday until 16th December.  What could be better than a bonus $1,000 cash to spend in the run up to Christmas?” she added.
