Financial Secretary Jeremiah G.A. Frett hospitalised

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Information coming into Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) is that yesterday, Friday, April 5, 2024, while at a Paraquita Bay meeting, the territory’s Financial Secretary Mr Jeremiah G.A. Frett reported he was not feeling well.

The Financial Secretary was transported to Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital located in the capital city, Road Town via ambulance, according to sources familiar with the situation.

Mr Frett remains in the hospital, as of publication time today April 6, 2024. He was said to be resting.

His medical condition is private; however, sources noted that “he is coming along well and will be alright.”

Mr Frett is the Chief Advisor to the Minister of Finance on all financial matters and was confirmed to his post in 2022.

We wish him well

He also heads the Ministry of Finance and all departments under the Ministry, where Premier Dr the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) is the Minister of Finance.

The management and staff of VINO wish the Financial Secretary, Mr Frett, a speedy recovery.

    I wish this man well but why is this news? Is he more important than the man on the street or my neighbours son or my uncle/nephew/grandfather? People get sick everyday and are hospitalized. If it is because of his status and designation then ayo have some serious problems. Ayo magnify and place significance on a man’s title? Everybody is equal. Ayo get that in ayo head.
