Gov’t asked to reconsider cruise pier expansion!
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – With public discussion and debate ongoing on the proposed $75 million cruise pier expansion project in the Virgin Islands (VI), some residents are asking Government to reconsider the project which will only have finances injected by a foreign entity, to include local or Government partnership.
Business bureau to offer loans for cruise ship pier stores
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Virgin Islanders who are eligible to control and operate a business on their own and who are interested in a future investment in a store that will be located at the new Road Town Cruise ship pier in the next couple of years, would be eligible to receive help from the National Business Bureau (NBB).
Cruise pier to be extended some 200 ft long & 65ft wide
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Government envisages the cruise ship pier at Road Town to be extended some 200ft to 300ft in length and 65ft in width in an expansion project that would cost between $12M-$15M but when completed would see an increase in cruise arrivals.
