Dr. Potter calls for ESHS lunch prog to be revisited
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – With the Elmore Stoutt High School Lunch Programme only started this school term, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Irad Potter says there is a need for it to be revisited to ensure the foods served are nutritionally sound for students and that the authorities should dictate what vendors serve.
VI has highest overweight & obesity in Latin America & Caribbean
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – A Global School Health Survey (GSHS) has shown obesity and overweight recording the highest percentages among students ages 13 through 15 in the Virgin Islands compared to other countries that participated in the survey.
