CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI — The District Court of the US Virgin Islands (USVI) on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 ruled in the favour of Senator-elect Kevin A. Rodriquez to remove the matter concerning his failure to be legally seated as a member of the 32nd Legislature from the Superior Court to the District Court, Mr Rodriquez made known via release late Wednesday.

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI— In a last-minute judgement handed down on Sunday January 8, 2017, the Supreme Court of the [US] Virgin Islands said that Kevin A. Rodriguez would not be able to take the oath of office alongside his colleagues today, January 9, despite a Superior Court ruling last week that said he would be able to serve as a senator.
