Sex offender arrested in USVI for failing to update registration

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI- The US Virgin Islands Department of Justice announced Thursday, July 7, 2022, that 38-year-old Omar J. Suarez, a registered sex offender, was arrested by Department of Justice (DoJ) Special Agents and the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act unit on St Thomas.

WASHINGTON DC, USA- On Wednesday, September 23, 2020, lawyers for the US Department of Justice will argue that the US Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit should reverse Fitisemanu v. United States, a landmark ruling recognising that individuals born in US territories have the same right to citizenship as individuals born in the 50 states or the District of Columbia, Equally American, a nonprofit committed to achieving equal rights for Americans living in US territories, has announced.
TRAXCO will vacate the Randall ‘Doc’ James racetrack on Friday

FREDERIKSTED, St Croix, USVI — In a letter addressed to Casino Control Commission Chairwoman Violet Ann Golden, TRAXCO revealed that it would vacate the Randall ‘Doc’ James racetrack in St Croix, US Virgin Islands on May 6, 2016 following a complaint filed by the Department of Justice in District Court asking the court to force TRAXCO out of the Randall ‘Doc’ James racetrack.
USVI to revoke business & driver’s licenses of 25 deadbeat dads

FREDERIKSTED, St Croix, USVI — US Virgin Islands Attorney General Claude E. Walker made known through a statement issued on Sunday March 6, 2016 that the Department of Justice was in the process of revoking the driver’s and business licenses of 25 delinquent parents — all of them fathers — who had failed to adhere to the Department of Justice’s (D.O.J) call of coming into compliance with the territory’s child support laws.
