Michael Stevens walks free!
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Michael Stevens, one of the three men who were on trial for the January 21, 2011 MoneyGram robbery, walked out of the High Court last week a free man after his lawyer successfully argued that the Crown did not have enough evidence to prosecute.
Not guilty verdicts for Simmonds Jr. & Howe!
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - A nine member jury unanimously found Rodney Simmonds Jr. and Mikael Howe not guilty for the January 21, 2011 MoneyGram robbery this afternoon, June 25, 2012 in the High Court.
UPDATE - “Vehicle back glass shattered in front of me & I dropped the bag”
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The security worker for MoneyGram, who was carrying the deposit box with $190,401.41 in cash, testified that it was only when he saw a vehicle back glass shattered in front of him that he dropped the money.
