MC&W to begin addressing VI’s Infrastructural needs

Mark Vanterpool, has recently introduced a project, with its aim solely to reconstruct and rebuild damages caused by a dreadful storm in October of 2010.

Cruise pier to be extended some 200 ft long & 65ft wide
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Government envisages the cruise ship pier at Road Town to be extended some 200ft to 300ft in length and 65ft in width in an expansion project that would cost between $12M-$15M but when completed would see an increase in cruise arrivals.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The much discussed issue of second plates for holders of taxi licenses has been resolved with the decision to issue a second plate providing that the holders of taxi licenses can produce a second vehicle to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
New MC&W rule: Contractors must hire apprentices!
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The Communications and Works Ministry will make it mandatory for contractors hired to execute large scale projects, to employ young men as apprentices, stated Hon. Mark Vanterpool, the subject Minister, at a sewerage contract signing on March 8, 2012 at the Administrative Complex.
Two weeks for final widening phase of Manse Road
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The final widening phase of the Paul Wattley Road, or Manse Road as it is popularly known, commences today Wednesday February 23, 2012 and is expected to last for two weeks after which the road would be paved.
