Elections 2019: Citizens line up in last day of voter registration
Today, Monday, January 28, 2019, was the absolute last day to register to vote in the upcoming Monday, February 25, 2019, General Election in the VI.
Candidates and elected officials have also been doing their parts to register and have forms filled out at their district offices, ensuring that new voters are registered.
Elections Season Start
As the House of Assembly (HoA) is dissolved, there are 13 seats up for grabs, 9 from Districts and 4 At-Large.
Many persons have also raised transparency concerns with the Election Office as to why some people are been registered and others are turned away even though they are in the same situation and often with the same documentation.
There is also the issue of a number of voters being transferred in what some described as “district padding”, particularly in the Eight and Fifth Districts.
A final preliminary list is expected to be made public this week according to election supervisor Juliette Penn.

I saw the Hepilito Penn, Hon. Walwyn and holding the big brown envelope Hon. Maduro-Caines. Governor Jaspert keep a tail on these NDP candidates please.
Yes you touch a nerve.
Ask the VIP chairman where the money for the car race track gone. Ask him where the money for the after school programs gone ASK him why school children say he can't touch his overseas accounts. ASK HIM.
Dr. Smith already explained the 7.2 million. It was an investment that unfortunately that went bad. How many bad investments VIP did under their leadership. Bi-water is still haunting us to this day and will for decades to come. Nuff said.
1. the bi-water sell out that crippled a local company
2. where the Government paying millions monthly
3. nuff people still can't get water to take a proper bath at night
4. they collecting big annual dividends from that investment.
You people so foolish. Their investments are never in the best interest of the people. Only their own.
