Early morning fire destroys truck belonging to Ricky E. Conner

LONG BUSH, Tortola, VI- An early morning fire that appears to have started after 2:00am on Friday May 15, 2015 in the area of upper Long Bush on the main island of Tortola destroyed a sewage truck belonging to young businessman Ricky E. Conner, owner of Rickey’s 24hr Trucking.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. However, it appears that the fire could be arson as it is reported that beside the one truck there were attempts to burn more than one but the Fire and Rescue Services personnel called to the scene was able to save the others.

When contacted, Mr Conner confirmed the incident and also suspicions that the fire may have been deliberately started. “I know it was,” Mr Connor stated.

Efforts to get a comment from the Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue Services were not successful up to post time.
