ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Two men appeared before the Magistrate’s Court on March 14, 2014 on charges of disorderly conduct after they became engaged in a brawl in the Purcell neighbourhood last year.

Kenrick Wiltshire, 45, and Baidnerine Haripersaud, 46, both pleaded guilty to the offence.

According to the facts read by the prosecution, Police responded to a call about two men who appeared to be drunk and fighting at Brewley’s Superette in Purcell.

The men were arrested and transported to the Road Town Police Station. During a search of the two men, a knife was found on Wiltshire. He told the Police that he carried the knife because he was a construction worker.

Magistrate Dr Velon L. John placed both of the men on a bond to keep the peace for twelve months, failing which they would be required to pay the government a sum of $500.
