DIAMOND ESTATE, Tortola, VI-The driver of a truck that fell more than 12 feet off a road at Diamond Estate, Tortola, on Saturday, February 27, 2021, is said to have not sustained any life-threatening injuries.

The truck, which was transporting concrete blocks, fell partially on top of a house.

According to reports reaching our newsroom, the 23-year-old driver was attempting to manoeuvre his vehicle on to a driveway at the edge of a steep turn when the truck slid off the hillside.

The driver was said to have been pinned inside the cabin of the vehicle.

The truck was extensively damaged as well as part of the house on which it fell.

It is unclear if anyone was in the house at the time of the accident.

      Can’t speak for this incident but heavy equipment vehicles are always speeding including around corners expecting the smaller vehicles to make way or swerve into bushes so they could pass.

    23 yrs???? No country issues a heavy duty truck license to anyone under 25
    I guess they know why.
    He had no experience to maneuver such a vehicle loaded with blocks. It could have killed an entire family inside the house

        ppl aren't we tired of undermining our own ppl? ppl wake up its a new world order coming n we self aint know its time to rise up our ppl our young ppl.. in serval other places in the world it got young kids operating heavy equipment at young ages because what they pushing their ppl to doing things but here you guys come now trying to undermine the young man n his business... these things are mechanical anything can happen at anytime this young man could of lost his life..
