Ok it's official people in the BVI cannot drive. We need to reevaluate the license testing process and who is testing these people. Also if you get in an accident you need to have your license suspended and be forced to take a mandatory driving ed class/test over again....

You really write that? Is either you don't drive or you haven't gotten into an accident yet (although I hope you don't if you do drive)!! Anybody can get into an accident, as there are lots of factors that can cause an accident, which doesn't have do with the fact that somebody can't drive!!

I hope the driver of the vehicle didn't suffer serious injury(ies) and I hope they make a full recovery!

Drivers... If you are drunk and or sleepy. Pull off the road, park up, lock up and take a 2 hrs snooze in your vehicle.. It will and may save your life, don't assume you can make it home...

If drunk you are unable to make a logical decision unless there is some one who observes that you about to drive. We just have to be or brothers keeper.

What's happening now, is the results of when you give down island people license and vehicle for the first time, after riding horses and donkeys all their lives. Never has it had so much accidents at the same time in Tortola.

You sound like a total moron. So the only accident that happen in the BVI are down island drivers? Go and find something contructive to do with your time.

You and all who agreed with u should go to Long Trench. Your history is written in murals there. Go to Red Rock in east end and learn something else. Listen to channel 52 you will learn a lot about this Territory. Donkey and donkey carts were a way of transportation. If you are a B.V.I. Iander you should be a shame of yourself. Your forefather rode on donkey, horses and rode donkey carts to give u a car to drive and they used latrine..pit toilets too. The way that u all behave it if as vehicles and everything were manufactured here. By the way so u know the first person who brought a vehicle here?. Here is a clue..he was not from here. Go learn your history.. read a book or something. You will appreciate what u have and stop turning your nose up about other people.

@Dragon, if you are talking about the art on the lamp posts, you are a true A..
Art is an expression. How the H.ll is it demonic. I happen to love the art and kudos to the artist. I love abstract art so, if it was abstract art on the lamp post will you call it demonic too? You need to stop being so closed minded. There is nothing demonic about the picture.

All SUVs have a sign behind the drivers visor warning that thay are very unstable if driven aggressively and are liable to roll over. Judging by the number of rollovers it seems drivers dont heed the warnings, which are in addition to other accident causing events.

Once again I will blame a complete lack of Police presence on our roads. Clearly these people are driving while intoxicated, and I see some comments on here asking drunk drivers to make rational decisions. They are drunk! They have no call behind the wheel. This place is just completely lawless and out of control. Once again, we need to enforce laws and stop letting people do whatever they please.

I've been overseas liming with guys who smoke weed and drink I was in the vehicle and the driver on our way home after about 5 minutes driving said guys I have to pull over off the road we have to sleep in the car. So all who saying drunking people can't make rational Decision talk bull crop nonsense.. You ever hear old people say " Tom drunk but Tom Ain no fool" in other words Tom drunk but he knows what he is doing...By the way, more sober people get in accident than those that were drinking..Talk what you know..

Yeah I agree. We should post Police on the roads from Trellis Bay to West End and all the streets between..oh and a few in Brewers Bay. We should then tell drivers and other road users that there is no need to be responsible. The Police will save them from accidents. Foolish!!!!!
    • @........... (20/03/2017, 09:30) Like (2) Dislike (0) Reply
Yet, when the police try to deal with drivers breaking the law, we kick up a fuss and become disrespectful and tell them to go catch the murderers -- we can't have it both ways. Either we want the police to deal with divers (ALL) who break the law, or we don't!

there needs to be more. a defence driving class needs to be introduced...it can be in the form of class for a number of hours and can be implemented on the renewal of your license everyone is required to do it, government ministers too

Alot of these accidents are caused by drivers trying to avoid oncoming vehicles coming head on to you not holding their side. How many times I have to run my Jeep in bushes to avoid oncoming vehicles. at one time.its a rock stop me from going over a cliff. Then these bad drivers continue their merry way.. maybe bad drivers is too much of a strong position let's say distracted drivers... Drivers we need to focus. Focus. When we are driving.
