Dr. O’Neal: Anegada needs its own Project Manager!

ANEGADA, VI - While the incumbent Government received praises for road works in Anegada, 9th district candidate with the National Democratic Party (NDP) team is concerned that the Project Manager to oversee such works is not from the island.

“For the life of me, I can’t understand why this man from Tortola was brought over to Anegada to supervise road works,” Dr. Hubert O’Neal declared, at a tent meeting held on the island famous for its Flamingos on Sunday October 23, 2011.

Albeit, he did not identify the individual by name, it is obvious that it was Daniel ‘Pops’ Cline, who has been assigned by Premier Ralph T. O’Neal, to supervise projects in Virgin Gorda (VG) and Anegada.

Virgin Islands News Online was informed that he was chosen because of his professionalism and fairness, since the likelihood of nepotism could have resulted in unfair distribution of contracts if someone from VG or Anegada was in charge.

But from all indications, Dr. O’Neal is not happy with the situation.

“Why is it an Anegadian could not do that job? That man has become so comfortable now that he is calling the shots. He is now the unofficial mayor of Anegada. I would like to know if my Anegadian people have gone soft on me.”

“How did you allow this man to consume your lives, while dictating to you who gets contracts and who doesn’t?” he asked.

He pledged if elected, he will find an Anegadian to fill that spot.

    NDP need to scatter they are into a class system. They went to Anegada on Sunday and the rest of us had to tek boat through the night back to V and Tola while the candidate got on there private jets. That turn me off, I can never vote for them not me never!

        that is so TRUE I work at the airport and saw them candidates with my own two eyes coming in on their private jets while my sister who loves the NDP got on a boat through the night...what a shame, what a class system..so low class funny man Myron must feel out of place..he from the lower class..... he has no roots in the BVI. NDP IS A BUNCH OF ELITIST FOOLS

    Honestly speaking, what Dr. Oneal is saying is absolutely correct. Do any of you see someone from Anegada or Virgin Gorda being able to go to Cane Garden Bay, West End or even Huntums Ghut and say that they are managing projects in that rea? You all are full of crap. What professionalis and and fairness. This man is there for what he can get. He makes sure that contracts are only given to 2 individuals because he knows that he will get a percentage out of the contract. If you have a contract and you do not allow him to get a piece of the pie, he is very up set with the individual and gives them hell. No one from Anegada or Virgin Gorda would of been able to do that. What Dr. O'Neal is saying makes a lot of sense. Since that man on Anegada, he got 3 piece of property from one of his right hand people and has now even set up shop with home and family. Get him out of Anegada.

      This is nonsense. How many of us Virgin Islanders come from VG every day to work in Tortola and how many persons go from Tortola to work in VG on a daily basis? It is one territory, one passport, no immigration control ! Stop the seperating!!! I cannot see why we are always saying who from VG and who from Tortola. It is the Virgin Islands.

      typical NDP running a campaign to divide the BVI and create a class system...one for whites and the rich, one for the poor and one for others. Anyone can work any place in the BVI..the NDP is dangerous people of the BVI! as we get closer to the elections..they showing their wicked ways..indeed nothing "new" about them, the same old divide the people to win desperate tactic

        Adam give me a break! I never saw the divide and conquer from the NDP. Get a brain. How is it a man can tell me he come to keep a rally and when is his time to present to the people his plans he ready to sleep and talking a bunch of nonsense about where he work and who he worked with over his life. That has nothing to do with the issues. I'm yet to hear what Ralph plans to do for Anegada and virgin Gorda. He just come with his wicked, selfish smile and expect us to vote him in because he was there before. I don't think so. It's time to rest Ralph.

    Dr. O'Neal you are correct, it was for a purpose and we all know why. It is very embarrassing to the contractors of Virgin Gorda and Anegada, But it will be fix Novemeber 07th.

    Is only the people here on Anegada who knows what is going on. Mr. Cline is here taking advantage of Anegada and what can be offered here. You cannot completely blame the government for this because when the people of Anegada learn to come together they will be a force to be reckoned with. Ralph and the VIP has taken advantage of the fact that Anegadians need their land titles and they use it against us at election time to get votes but God sees and knows we are not blinded by handouts. It is utter nonsense that a man is being paid 250K to do nothing. Imagine he doesn't even go out at the sites. Wickedness, then we wonder why the government doesn't have money. This government has a degree in a$$eology and frivolous spending.
