ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Police in the Virgin Islands (VI) have arrested and charged Cesar Augusto Jumenez Alonso, a 34-year-old native of the Dominican Republic for Uttering Forged Documents and Unlawful Possession of an Irregular Passport.

This is according to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) in its Arrest Blotter for the period August 11-24, 2019.

The man was arrested on August 21, 2019, at 11:28 am and has already appeared before the Magistrate’s Court and was granted time served then handed over to Immigration pending removal.

BURGLARY

On 16-08-19 at 17:55 am, Police arrested and charged Mervin Flaharty, 21 of Joes Hill for 2 counts of Burglary. He appeared before the Magistrate's Court and was remanded to Her majesty’s prison to reappear before the Magistrate’s Court on 08-10-19 at 09:00 am.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED DRUG

On 23-08-19 at 21:43 am, Police arrested and charged Jelani Marquis, 23 of Belle Vue for Possession of a Controlled Drug, Driving an Unlicensed Vehicle, Driving an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Riding Without a Crash Helmet, Driving Without a Front Identification Plate, Fail to Apply to Charge Ownership, Driving Without a Rear View Mirror and Drive Without a Front Identification Plate. He was granted bail in the $5,000 with one signed surety to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on 18-10-19 at 09:00 am.

DESTROYING PROPERTY

On 18-08-19 at 15:55 pm, Police arrested and charged Johanna THOMAS-ANTHONY, 25 of Little Dix Hill for Destroying Property and Common Assault. She was granted bail in the amount of $5,000 with one signed surety to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on 04-11-19 at 09:00 am.

TAKING CONVEYANCE

On 10-08-19 at 14:40 pm, Police arrested and charged a 16-year-old male for 2 counts of Taking Conveyance Without Authority. He appeared before the Magistrate’s Court and was remanded to Her majesty’s prison to reappear before the Magistrate’s Court on 09-09-19 at 09:00 am.

OBTAINING PROPERTY BY DECEPTION

On 12-08-19 at 21:00 pm, Police arrested and charged Kelvin Lloyd, 45 of Carrot Bay for Obtaining Property by Deception. He was granted bail in the amount of $10,000 with one signed surety to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on 30-09-19 at 09:00 am.

DRIVING WITHOUT DRIVER’S LICENSE

On 19-08-19 at 11:17 am, Police arrested and charged Bryan Richards, 50 of Fat Hog’s Bay for Driving Without a Driver's License, Driving an Uninsured and Unlicensed Vehicle and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis. He was granted bail in the $5,000 with one signed surety to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on 04-11-19 at 09:00 am.
