Dick Alphonso strikes Rotary's top draw

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Dick Alphonso was the winner of the top cash prize when the Rotary Club of Tortola, in collaboration with Riteway, held its annual raffle drawing on Saturday December 24, 2011 at the Riteway Supermarket in Pasea.

Alphonso pocketed $7500 cash prize while Sarah Penny was the lucky ticket winner of the second and only other cash prize. Ms. Penny collected $5000.

Earlier the non-cash prize segment brought satisfaction for Carol Arthur, who won a perfume gift set from Bolos Wholseale. Jessica Massaco won a bottle of champagne from Caribbean Cellars while Kathy Ann Bascom was drawn a winning ticket of a pair of earrings from Little Denmark.

Terry Hill was the lucky ticket winner of a bracelet from Little Switzerland while Derrick Jennings received a dishwasher from O’neal and Webster.

There was also a Blackberry smart phone for grabs compliments of Lime and that was won by Mandinka Crabbe.

An attractive prize of a notebook from Infinite Solutions was won by Heather James while the prize of a weekend for two at Nail Bay Resort in Virgin Gorda was claimed by Gwen Rubaine.
