The 11-year-old's sudden death had rocked the Virgin Gorda community and many described here passing as ‘mysterious’. Persons close to the parents who contacted this news site about the plans for what they described as “Graduation Celebration to Heaven” said that the parent have chosen not to go public at this time with the cause of death as given in the autopsy.
“Beckie (the child’s mother) is asking that we respect her wishes not to discuss that at this stage but she has promised to speak about it at a time when she feels more comfortable to do so,” related a close family member.
According to the source the ceremony will be held at the Sanctuary of Hope Church, Valley, Virgin Gorda with viewing from 10:00 to 11:00 am. The officiating minister will be Bishop Paul Ricketts.
Demiah O. O'Neal, a former student of the Little Rainbow Primary School, was rushed to the Iris O'Neal Health Centre in Virgin Gorda on the night of January 30, 2014 after her mother had observed that she was not being her usual self.
