“The BVICA is very thankful for the support of the Recreation Trust as well as Mr Dag Samuel and Mr Steven Payne for ensuring that a repeat of the highly successful 2015 tournament could go ahead,” noted the organising committee, headed by Mr Jadid A. Khan.
“This year our sponsors are Platinum: Delta, Maples, Conyers, BCQS and SHRM - Gold: Deloitte, Silver: Harneys and Hunte & Co - we sincerely appreciate all of your amazing support!”
The games are scheduled for every Thursday evening on the A.O. Shirley Recreation Ground, complete with music, food and refreshments.
In 2015 Delta Petroleum were crowned Champions and through sponsorship as well as the support of many fans, the BVICA was able to implement many programmes, especially ones aimed at Youth Cricket, including a visit from England Under 19 Coach, Mr Stuart Barnes, who provided some Elite Coaching Master Classes.
Additionally, a new artificial matting for cricket was installed at Greenland and a youth team was able to compete in the Leeward Islands U15 Tournament hosted by St Kitts and Nevis.
Donations were also given to Eslyn Richiez Learning Centre, the BVI Red Cross, and Elmore Stoutt High School.
