ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - During a busy two days at the BVICCHA Buy BVI 2012 expo held on December 7-8, CIBC FirstCaribbean addressed a number of queries from visitors to its stand. Two of the feartured products were the Bank’s Mobile and Internet Banking services. The cost-free services were first launched in the Caribbean market place by CIBC FirstCaribbean two years ago.

“We particularly wanted to highlight the Mobile and Internet Banking services at this show because of the positive benfits and savings for our customers,” said Valentine Fraser, Senior Corporate Manager for CIBC FirstCaribbean. “Customers enrolled in our Internet Banking service can take advantage of Mobile Banking options which enable them to pay bills and transfer funds from one mobile banking customer to another from their mobile phones any time, any where. This eliminates the need to stand in line and gives people the freedom to manage their finances outside of regular banking hours.”

The Mobile Banking options, which are offered exclusively through CBIC FirstCaribbean’s Mobile Banking Bill Pay and Third Party Payment services, enable banking customers to meet utility, hire purchase and other monthly financial commitments, as well as transfer funds to other CIBC FirstCaribbean mobile banking customers using any type of mobile phone.

Customers can register an unlimited number of third party beneficiaries and billers to their mobile banking account, as long as they are listed on CIBC FirstCaribbean’s Internet Banking service.

The service also can set alerts to inform users when their accounts have reached minimum or maximum cash balances.

As part of its engagement with the public, CIBC FirstCaribbean offered visitors to its booth a daily free draw for a gift from the bank. The winners were Ms Delight Charles and Ms Dora Lake.
