ROAD TOWN, Tortola - The British Virgin Islands Ports Authority (BVIPA) is pleased to announce the commencement of the Authority's thirtieth (30th) anniversary celebrations.

The British Virgin Islands Ports Authority Act, No. 12 of 1990 was printed in the British Virgin Islands Gazette on Wednesday 31st October 1990 and established the Authority as a separate entity, solely owned by the Government of the Virgin Islands.

This year has been defined by unprecedented difficulties and as the BVI Ports Authority marks thirty (30) years of service to the BVI community, the Authority is mindful of the times in which it is operating.

It is with this awareness that the BVI Ports Authority has chosen a scaled-down approach to commemorating the 30th Anniversary.

Starting on Sunday 22nd November 2020, the BVI Ports Authority will be engaging in a dedicated week of customer and employee focused activities. Additionally, throughout the next twelve (12) months, various anniversary events and achievements will be highlighted.

In observance of this significant milestone, the British Virgin Islands Ports Authority is releasing a thirtieth (30th) anniversary logo. This anniversary alsi marks a period of restructuring and revitalising the BVI Ports as we keep the BVI Moving.
