'Boots' of USVI's JamBand crushed to death

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI- Ambrose “Boots” Schmidt leader and arranger of the widely popular JamBand from the US Virgin Islands (USVI) has died.

According to Antigua Newsroom on October 24, 2017, Schmidt was killed in a freak accident Monday, October 23, 2017 when a 40 ft trailer landed on him crushing his body from the mid torso down.

He was at the time working his trucking job.

JamBand is a 21 time road march champion of St Thomas and internationally popular.

      It is very sad, Let us take a good look at the way we live our lives. We do not know what a day would bring. As we go through tha day that the Lord has made, let us seek his guidance, love and protection. The grave is not our final resting place, I hope he was a praying man, seeking God's grace and love. I did not know him, but I feel the pain for a brother. May his family have protection and peace.
