Booths sold out for Christmas on Main Street!

The two-day event has boosted business for vendors and Main Street businesses and is a jumpstart to the Christmas season.
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Fifty booths will line Main Street on December 2 and 3, and according to Co-chair of the cultural extravaganza, telephones calls are still pouring in from businesses who are interested in setting up a booth to showcase their franchise.

“We are booked solid, which is a good sign,” Janice Braithwaithe-Edwards said in an interview with Virgin Islands News Online.

Christmas On Main Street has become a traditional occasion where families are usually seen browsing market stalls of bright produce, from handmade toys to hand-painted calicos, spices, fresh fruits and mouth-watering local dishes.

The two-day event has boosted business for vendors and Main Street businesses and is a jumpstart to the Christmas season.

And while a theme has not been sorted out as yet, Mrs. Braithwaithe-Edwards said the focus will be on increasing youth development through the Christmas event.

Furthermore, the committee on Monday November 28, 2011 will be doing “a walk through” to ensure there are no hiccups.

“We are rearing and ready to go. We are excited. Majority of the sponsors are on board and are ready,” the co-chair added.

You all to dam bias............you accept application for your friends and family while everyone else must wait in line. Everyone needs to be given a fair chance and why only 50 booths as far as I am concerned the booth could run untill the end of main street making the event more exciting!
