ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - It was a two-day, so called controversy, as a ‘blue ball’ (sculpture) was erected in Road Town, the Capital City.

The ‘ball’ was placed at the Sir Olva Georges Plaza, next to the hurricane ravaged Police Headquarters.

It was believed to be placed there by the persons responsible for the Trellis Bay, Full Moon parties.

It made its debut on social media and some even claimed that it had sculpted into it, a symbol that promotes devil worship, in a so called Christian society, like the Virgin Islands (VI).

Move it we are children of God

The Constitution of the VI however, protects the rights of anyone to worship whichever deity they choose—including the devil.

In the end, the Christians prevailed and today, Thursday, August 23, 2018, the ‘blue ball’ was removed from the Plaza to an unknown location.

This might be a lesson for those promoting legalised gambling, which is officially opposed by the BVI Christian Council,  as the churches in the Territory still exercise some level of clout over these VI.

Lots of people including so-called Christians worship the devil. They believe in and obey human organizations
like governments for instance. They think they exist to slave away at something called 'work' and reproduce
more workers, as a reason to exist in the first place. So sad. They can't tell the devil from God. Oh well,
    pass the Worcestershire.

Hahahahaha I just can't with the backward thinking of the people in the B.V.I. These so-called Christians are jokers; they can find the time to speak out against artwork by locals but, are dead silent when it comes to the rape and molestation of our children. They are also silent against murders; they are not even examples of how to live right anymore. If you should follow these lunatics, you'll spend you money on clothes to go to church and give them the balance, yet they rarely invest that money back into the community.

So tell me you fake, hyprocite church going demons, which is more evil. A piece of art or a killer? That art should have never been removed.

And you all want to stand up to the UK and say 'we are not backward, small-minded people, we are capable of running our own affairs?' This is the kind of thing that gets Caribbean people a real rep for pure stupidness.
Yes, people should respect religion, but not total bull crap made up by some self righteous crazy who decides this piece of artwork is about the devil. It is not and never was but as usual, FB can take fake and bake a bullsh*t cake.
How about you expose your family members smuggling drugs that kill people? How about you complain about the corrupt cousin in government who just gave a big gift to your church? How about you make noise about murder in your community? Child molestation, etc etc etc. Christian fundamentalism should not rule our people.

Stop skull bashing the Christians. Like there’s good and bad people there’s good and bad Christians.

For those that don’t believe in God, hope you are right. Because when we die that’s when we’ll be faced with the truth and it’ll be too late.

For the Christians, stop being Pharisees. Because I’m guessing God could care less about the Blue ball. Stop phariseeing the people.

We all are adult, we all know right from wrong. God has given us the right to choose how we live. We as Christians should not force our ways upon other. We are not rulers but servants.

If the people want to put up a Blue ball for whatever reason. That’s their choice. It shouldn’t bother you. They didn’t put it in your place of worship. It’s not hindering you from worshipping God.

I do understand you live here too and what they do can affect you. But humble yourself and let God take control. Have faith like you should. Pray, nothing can harm you without God’s permission. Call yourself Christians but you’re afraid of a blue ball.

I love it! Yes, indeed they would be in church fantasizing about your well “erected” statue.
A lot of those same “christians” protesting on the Facebook post have their own demons that they refuse to deal with. Not speaking with family members, not speaking with their neighbors, not speaking to members of their same church. They need to deal with those issues and be examples of true Christians before they even think of giving themselves the right to start judging others.

It's a sculpture. It's art. It's celebratory. It's not Devil worship, or God defiling, or people corrupting or injurious.
If you don't like it, or don't appreciate it as a work of art; FINE. Just don't go projecting your own fears on it and bad mouthing it.

Come on people! For the Tourist Board, we need to commission the creator of this “blue ball” to create “blue balls” with the ONEBVI logo at the top, triple the size, to be placed at every port of entry.

Symbolism is all around us: Kraft foods, Nike, Apple computers, BMW, Mercedes, etc. It is what differentiates them from everything else in the Market. Think people- we are a tourist-oriented destination. How many photos will be taken by tourists to be marketed (inexpensive by the way) to the rest of the world? Our own unique branding. Let us be known for blue coloured balls around the world. THINK! our people. Enough said.

This place is full of Phonies hiding under the name of Jesus. They Christian when it's convenient but so many in and out of the church and pulpit believe in so much obeah. They cut one another throat I'm a flash. Their heart so dirty that they don't wish good for nobody. The few hours before hurricane, everybody found God bit once the wind stopped, they were worst than ever. They treat their staff like s..it and don't talk about their hatred for people from other Caribbean islands. So many families bitter against one another over land and estate issues. The executors who wouldn't distribute estates. So if all of this isn't evil, then what is. I don't know the ball or if it's significance is holy or evil. The heart of too many people is evil and desperately wicked and we will each receive our due reward.

Their blood is on their own shoulders.. when Jesus come He will not ask you for them, rather what u do..keep praying for those that do not know Christ and yes I agree that some persons that call themselves Christians that claim to know Him they’re not living a life that is pleasing unto God.. (we are known by our fruits)not reflecting God’s love In their actions but guess what God sees all and He will chastise them..make sure u and “ur house” is in order.. again, leave them.. the word says that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.. let them say what they want call him invisible God whatever; one day this same God will be the one they cry out to... leave them!!’
