ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI: A man who is a prime suspect in the October 22, 2018 murder and attempted murder of a male and female was today remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison.

The accused, Virgin Islander Dijion Hodge, a 27-years-old resident of East End Tortola was reportedly taken into custody on the same day Police found Tyrone Thomas dead in his vehicle at Brady Ghut along with an injured female.

Hodge is facing charges for possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply another, possession of an unlicensed firearm and unlawful possession of explosives.

According to facts, when officers responded to the crime scene, Hodge was spotted in bushes covered in blood, a short distance from where Thomas’ dead body and the vehicle was discovered.

Suspicious activity

Acting on Hodge’s suspicious actions at the time, Investigating Officers attempted to execute a search of his home but as he continued to act suspiciously and refused to grant permission for the search, they secured an official warrant.

It was at that time the Officers conducted the search, discovering a large quantity (over $2ML) of cocaine concealed in a bloody black bag, seven rounds of ammunition and a .40 calibre pistol all stashed in a clump of bushes outside the home.

According to Police reports, when asked about the illegal items, Hodge told the investigating officers that they belonged to Thomas, which he Hodge took and hid in the bushes outside the house after Thomas was shot and killed. The two were said to be business partners operating a car rental service.

Police records further show that Hodge confessed to being a drug dealer and that he was in the rear of Thomas’ vehicle that ill-fated night.

While remanded to prison for the firearm and possession of drugs, Police are still investigating Hodges’ involvement in the shooting to death of Thomas and the attempted murder of the female.

Excellent Police Work.... This seems like something went wrong during their travelling and negotiations. This doesn't seem like something plan because the killer didn't had a plan. He apparently froze after the killing. Kudos to the Police for good Police work..

The surviving female knows everything. She can clear up this entire investigation whether she is afraid of not because they tried to kill her too. I would make arrangement with the governor to insure my safe passage out of here after she testifies. This is the only way to solve this heinous crime.

the folks involve seems to be handling a lot of money.....money talks....authorities need to put extra protection for the lady. Someone can be paid to get rid of her right there in the hospital. She might be the key witness

Remember last week there was a comment saying she needs to go ghost for a while. The streets is saying both of them was suppose to be killed. But, she lived. As a citizen, I am also asking the police department to give the young lady some kind of protection or relocate her off Island for a while.

That wont happen in the hospital. Theres multiple doors to go through and most are remote operated. Make it inside, get locked inside half way.

He was the one that pulled the trigger. If they knew what he was up to, they would have never let him in the vehicle. It is always the one that is close to you. That fool took the snow to start his own side business with the Spanish man. That is why you keep hearing about the Spanish man.
