Apollo Sky resting up

Speaking on behalf of The Boys Stables, Enos Z. Aaron said that Apollo Sky has been given a rest for this race meet due to a small injury. “I have Wrol Up coming up in the Premier’s Cup and I have Yes By Eric in a lower class race and I have Sin Mirar Atras which, will be running in an even lower class,” he said.

“The great Apollo Sky won’t be making it for the August 4 races. He has a slight injury and we just decided we are going to rest him. He has been good to us so we are going to be good to him,” he said. He, however, expressed confidence for his horses in the race.

“I am hoping that I can have three winners. They are feeling good and they are ready to go…so I am expecting three big runs out of these three horses,” he said.

Speaking to this news site from Ellis Thomas Downs yesterday July 31, 2015, Violet ‘Letty’ Hodge of L&B Stables expressed confidence in her horses Bitter Sweet Dream and L&B Thunder.

“I am confident that Bitter Sweet Dream will do well because she has been improving every race. Then I have L&B Thunder. This will be his fourth race. He is a young horse and we are taking our time with him. We are not rushing him,” she said.

Lesmore Smith of Top Priority Racing Stables said it is the intention to have Chilean Boy emerge the Premier’s Cup as winner and he is confident this can happen. “It is tough and challenging as always, but it is horseracing and anything can happen,” he said.

Public Relations Officer of the Virgin Islands Horse Owners’ Association Esther N. Fraser said that there is a lot for the fans on Tuesday.

“On Tuesday, August 4th, 2015 the BVI Horse Owners’ Association proudly presents the auspicious Festival Races.
