PHILIPSBURG, St Maarten, WI - Coming off their first loss on Tuesday, 17, 2018, against Dutch St. Maarten, the British Virgin Islands (BVI) Bayside Blazers, redeemed themselves in their game last evening Wednesday July 18, 2018, against French St. Martin.

It was a near blow out, as the BVI Team was not taking anything for granted as they continue in the hunt for another championship in the fifth annual Dreams to Reality Foundation, '2018 Battle of the Fittest Basketball Tournament' currently ongoing in Dutch St. Maarten.

Another game tonight

BVI Bayside Blazers will have another test tonight, Thursday July 19, 2018, this time against the United States’ formidable team—in fact the most anticipated game of the week.  The game starts at 10:00 PM in the LB Scott Sports Auditorium.

Last evening’s game ended 109 to 70, giving the BVI Basketball Team 3 wins out of 4 games played.

Top scores

Top scorers for the BVI Bayside Blazers were Killven M. Samuel with 29 pts, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals.

Daven D. Ottley came in with 22 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 block. 

Next for the BVI Basketball team was Captain Ray D. Victor with 14 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assists and 1 block.

Player Jason A Edwin came in with 10 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and  1 steal.

Who is on the team

The St. Maarten Basketball League will end on Saturday July 21, 2018, and the BVI Bayside Blazers is made up of 10 players.
