NEW YORK, USA – Virgin Islander Kareem Nelson Hull, in the company of Mr Craig A. Lake, arrived in the USA yesterday to a warm welcome by renowned BET producer Mr Kelly Griffin aka Kelly ‘G’ as Hull draws closer to executing his esteemed role of co-host of tonight’s Music Matters show.

Hull and Lake aka 'DJ Push Pop' were in contact last night with reporters when he spoke of his level of comfort ahead of the show set for later today December 9, 2014. “Kareem has arrived in New York successfully. He has met with Kelly Griffin and the producer Omar Grant quite anxious and ready,” said Mr Lake.

Telling of his level of comfort and readiness, Mr Hull noted that he is very humbled, listening, observing, taking advise and most of all throwing himself and emotions in the hands of his heavenly father.

"After today's tour of the CBS Broadcasting Center, the 106th & Park walk through and sound check with Jadakiss, it has become very real. I am as excited and I am anxious. We also had dinner tonight and that further allowed me to understand the demographics of tomorrow's show and the level of comfort they expect on the stage. Once I'm focused, I've prayed and I pay attention to Grant's instructions, I'm confident I'll do well,” said Mr Hull.

"Tomorrow night I am going to do my best and as Kelly G and Omar Grant has instructed, I'm going to be myself and keep the show moving. It's going to be about 60 minutes of awesome entertainment, so the host is not the star, in this case I am the glue and plan to get the act on and off stage by bringing myself and reacting like the audience would, with appreciation, praise if it's due, and then making a grand way for the next act to shine," he further added.

Sasha Wintz, the VI song bird, was also present to greet her VI brothers and accompanied them on the tour of the BET studios which she has become very familiar with since her ground and life breaking beat at becoming an internationally recognized recording artist.

BET’s Music Matters is a campaign that highlights the next BET superstars through music, bios, videos, photos and intimate interviews where the artists explain who they are and what music means to them.

Following the show, Mr Hull, Mr Lake, Ms Wintz and possibly Mr Griffin and Grant will be in contact again with local reporters here to give an overview as to their assessment of Mr Hull’s performance on stage at the high level show.

In a previous conference link interview, Mr Griffin had shed light on what had led to Mr Hull’s ground breaking opportunity.

“He (Kareem-Nelson Hull) had such a charisma and kept the crowd going and I said Craig why not have this guy come down for our December showcase and be a guest host and let us bring him up to the BET offices and build a relationship with him and see how it goes from there...” Mr Griffin had said.
