DUFF’S BOTTOM, Tortola, VI: History was made for the first time in the Hon Julian Fraser Save the Seed National Basketball League with Bayside Blazers now the only team in the League’s history to repeat a championship after they first won in 2014.

They did a clean sweep in both the Senior and Junior Divisions giving them championship titles in the 2017-2018 season.  In the Junior Division, it was another easy night as the Young Starz came with not enough players and no coach, therefore, the game was forfeited to the Junior Bayside Blazers, as was the previous night.

In the Senior Division final game, Bayside Blazers was missing three players, Devante A. Brewley, Douron R. Phillip and injured Stephon S. Caul, however, Pure Playaz was still no match for Bayside Blazers.  Pure Playaz had only one player missing, their big gun and draft pick Ray D. Victor who was injured.

In the Senior Games, Bayside Blazers overseas player Anthony J. Keane was named the Championship Game MVP, along with both Pure Playaz and Bayside Blazers picking up trophies for western and eastern division title winners.

It was the unstoppable Bayside Blazers

League MVP Keane had 17 points, 3 three-pointers, 4 rebounds, 3 steals and 7 assists, while Kimani T. Stevens had 12 points, 6 Rebounds, 1 block, 1 steal, and 2 assists.
